If you are a teen looking for money making ideas and find yourself agreeing, then read on – I will tell you how you can make money making candles and consider doing this on a long-term basis in the future.

First, you must survey the area and the market where you live for candle businesses. Primarily this is done so you will know who’s going to be your competition. Your goal is to also know what they are already making and selling, so you can plan one step ahead and offer something new that has never been done before. Going into the candle business may be a brilliant money making idea, but there are different factors to consider before you start. For example, one important thing is to discover the time, situation and instances when people buy candles, and for what reason – this is where research is very, very important, and one that you shouldn’t sacrifice just because it seems tedious to do. Research is key in finding out details that might make a whole lot of difference in your business.

So how can you make money making candles? A lot of people buy candles for different occasions. Those who love sprucing up their homes buy candles as decorative objects but also use them when they have visitors or want to relax. So they would probably need big, scented candles that look clean, neutral and elegant, and will fit in any home. Some candles are used for specific purposes – birthdays, prayers, when the power is out, when you are visiting the dead – so candles for these people will vary definitely in shape and size. Scents may not be a main factor for them, too. Another way that candles can be very profitable is during holidays or special occasions, like Christmas or Valentine’s Day. If you are set on going into the candle business as a money making idea, make sure that you will be selling the candles under your name or a brand that you created. It’s a great place to start promoting your candles because you don’t need to spend at all and you can reach a lot of people instantly. Make sure to provide photos of your product, and that your packaging looks nice, too.
