For the most part I believe you are correct about having to be 16 years old. But, there are a few other things you need to consider. First, if the Krogers in your area sells alcohol then if you are appling for a cashier job you will probably need to be 21 years old to sell the alcohol. There are still plenty of other great jobs there and I understand they are willing to work around your class schedule.

I think that you should try to find a job in the field that most interest you. Do not just go for the easy jobs out there because you will not stay very long. You have to remember that this will go on you resume’ for the rest of your life. Some people get stuck in these jobs when they could have been happier somewhere else.

I would like for the children to wait until they get out of high school before they start work. I feel like the children are growing up to soon. Money is not everything. They will have to work for the rest of their lives.

while I can agree with what you’re saying, I think there are 2 sides to this issue – the one you stated and also the other side of it is that kids today really do want to earn their own spending money. It’s been this way almost from the beginning of time.
