Like most teens, you have probably already set up your business but traffic is a bit slower than expected. You have the big idea, have followed all the guidelines, and still, there are no customers lining up your door. How can you earn money fast? Simple. Use word-of-mouth strategy.
The word-of-mouth strategy has been proven to be among the best marketing strategies there is today. You don’t have to spend anything by doing it, and it is quite fast and effective, too. Word-of-mouth simply means that you spread awareness about your business in any way possible – like telling your friends about it, and encouraging them to pass the message, and so on. If you are able to create a chain of positive feedback and recommendation about your business, then you will get known quite easily and you will have customers in no time. Word-of-mouth is effective because as a consumer, you are bound to believe a friend or a family’s recommendation, especially if you trust that person. If your business or brand name is talked about in a nice manner, people will be coming to you to finally try out your service or product.
Of course, you would need to come up with a creative way on how you will create some buzz. You might be passing the information along, and would be asking the people that you talk to to pass along that information, too, but they would need a reason to do so, one that is value-driven and would benefit them in exchange as well. One way to do this is to give out incentives. For example, you can tell your friends to spread the good word about your business in exchange for them getting discounts to your service. You can also create flyers announcing about your new product and your “Buy One, Take One” policy if they can bring another person to try out your product, too.
If you have already a customer base, you can ask for their help, too. If they are already satisfied by your business, chances are they would say nothing but positive reviews about you. Sometimes they will even recommend you even without your asking them to, as long as they are satisfied clients and you have made a good first impression on them.
Another way of earning money fast by using simple word-of-mouth strategy is by using the internet. You can send emails or announce it in your social networking site like Facebook or Twitter. You can even send SMS to friends and ask them to forward it to people who might be interested. Don’t forget to personalize your letters or texts. Include a person’s name in your message because it would make them feel like you are really talking to them instead of receiving a mass message.

just be careful who you talk to though. if they get jealous they might badmouth your biz. but this is the most inexpensive yet effective way of marketing, in my opinion.
