When you’re 12 years old it’s not easy to make money. And, it’s almost impossible to find anyone who will hire you. Yet there are a lot of 12 year olds out there that want to know how to earn the extra money they need to buy the things they want.
And let’s face it, not every 12 year old is into mowing lawns and baby sitting. I mean come off it. Why is it that as soon as you tell someone that you’re 12 and you want to make money they tell you about things like shoveling snow or walking dogs?! I mean not everyone is into that. Yeah, and maybe you’re not into making friendship bracelets and selling them or writing poems for money either.
So what’s a kid to do? How can you make money at the age of 12? Well one way is by selling things that people want or think they need. Sales is one of those professions that’s been around from the beginning of time. And just about anybody at any age can make money from selling. But how to make money at the age of 12 when you don’t have anything to sell? Well, the answer might be simpler than you think. Because you’re 12, you have to learn to think outside of the box. You have to come up with ideas that are creative and unique.
What To Sell to Make Money at the Age of 12
One idea for products that you can sell and make money from when you’re 12 is by selling digital products such as ebooks that you you’ve purchased for resale. Ebooks are perfect for you to sell if you’re young. The reason is that once you get your hands on a bunch of ebooks that you have the license to resell, you can keep selling them over and over again and never have to replenish your stock – unless you want to.
That’s the beauty of selling digital products. Ebooks and other digital products are stored on the hard drive of your computer. You don’t have to worry about a storefront or storage fees. You don’t have to worry about replenishing your stock and you don’t have to worry about the product going out of style or fashion. AND, on top of that, you can keep selling the same product over and over again and keep 100% of the money you make.
And because the product you’re selling is stored on your computer, you make 100% PURE PROFIT. YIPPEE! How many products can you think of that fits into that category? Not many, I’m sure.
Where To Get Cheap Digital Products For Resale
But where can you get a bunch of cheap ebooks that you can resell? Well, lots of places. You can buy them cheap on ebay and other places. Also, there are sites such as Master Resale Rights Directory where you can get resell products. Master resell products are products you can buy and resell. duuh! Also, you can set up a blog for yourself and list the ebooks that you’re trying to sell. If you can, try to offer a few different ways that people can pay you. The more ways you offer, the more people you’ll be able to collect money from.
If you’re young and wondering how to make money at the age of 12, then obviously you may need the help of a parent, older sibling or another relative to help you setup one of the above payment processors discussed in the article above. But let’s face it, you can’t always go it alone. And remember, even though you’re 12, you can make money. And you can do it in more ways than shoveling snow, mowing lawns and babysitting.

I think this is a great idea but im 12 and do you really think parents are gonna agree to all that!!
I think the best thing to do is become a simple ICT tech and help eldeley people set up computers and tutor them. I do $40.00 for setting up computers and $10.00 for setting up a printer and $50 for 2 hours tuition and i make about $500 a week at the age of 12!! plus my mom and dad let me!!
Shaggy I think it’s cool that you’ve figured out a way to make your own money doing something you enjoy! And yes, I do think this article gives kids a great suggestion for how teens can start their own business selling things online. Most kids are online all day anyway and this is one way for them to make money doing what they normally do anyway. Good luck in your business!

if this sounds too baby-ish you can always have a lemonade sale, but there is tons of other stuff. You can plan birthday parties, sell all your crap on ebay, or make and sell stuff. I make bookmarks out of chains and beads, and my grandmother shows them at artfairs. INSTANT CASH!

@ Sydney, we try to keep the price as low as possible for subscribers and then we added a way for people to become subscribers by trying out different offers and trials but that’s the best we can do. I realize that most kids don’t have credit cards but you don’t have to get the ebooks from our site. I mention other places in the article where you can buy ebooks such on ebay or other websites that you can pay using paypal and other forms of payments.
Hey everybody, sometimes when you want to make money you have to have a little money to start with. If you like the idea of making money by selling ebooks, then obviously you have to have a little money to buy the ebooks that you want to resell. You can go to ebay or another site where you can get ebooks really cheap and buy them from there and resell them. Selling ebooks is a great way to make money at any age you just have to get past the obstacles such as not having a credit card to buy them. But there are other things you can do such as asking your parents for help or even an older sibling. Stop focusing on the obstacles and start thinking about HOW you can do what you want to do and then DO IT.

me and my friend are talking on babysitting cuz we really need the money. but i need a way to advertise. if anyone can give me a (leagal) idea that would be great. i only have $100 in my room that is mine and i need a whole lot more if i want a new computer (lol). but really we have signs and we need more ways to advertice!

You know you guys don’t have to go that far! you could always just do a car boot everyone has useless stuff lying around! why not sell that model car sitting on your desk? why not sell old Cd’s that just collect dust? you could sell your bike or skateboard! (especially if you cant ride it!) just have a car boot its simple! or do guys call it something else in America? ( you are American aren’t you?)

This isn’t a simple idea anyway, you have to buy the stuff online then do a blog and then sell them when we also have other commitments and like we’re gonna make a profit…we have unwilling parents as well you know!

No seriously, there are a lot of ways to make money online and we have personally reviewed a lot of ways on this site that work. But the problem that a lot of people have is they give up to easily or they try something once of twice and then give up or they look at an idea and say “it’s not gonna work”.

hmmm… lots of people are saying that there parents wont let them, because the main part is buying ebooks with resale right i think!!! what if you err, MAKE YOUR OWN??? i think they might let you if you show that you have put effort into it!

it’s simple just host a free drawing thing but have a tip bucket it helps if your small and cute perfect for me cos im a midget and 12 myself and if youre small you have a excuse if it is bad or if you can not do realistic drawings turn it into a cartoon and if you can’t do that either you need to be the smallest cutest kid ever:)

I guess, if you had no parents and had a ton of money to start a thing like that, the buying and selling e-books would be a great idea. But HELLO?!?! i dont think that this is a very good idea because im not into books there for i would not want 2 even be around them. you kno how some 12 year olds are. im 12 and still hate 2 read but have 2. although i hate 2 read i really wouldnt want 2 sell people items that i dont like. i give this a thumbs down in my oppinion. so iz it possible that you can come up with a different idea than books.
