“It takes money to make money”. I’m sure you all have heard that saying before. But when you’re 12, money is hard to come by. And as most 12 year olds will tell you, when they ask the question, how to make money if you’re 12, parents can sometimes be no help. Times are tough and parents don’t want to let go of their hard earned money – especially not to their 12 year old kid. So what can be done? Well, one thing that you can do is to try to find ways to make money that doesn’t cost you anything. If you do this enough, you will have enough money to invest in other ways to make money if you are 12.
So, here’s an idea for kids who have no money whatsoever: In almost any area that you live in, you can find places where you can find wildflowers. If you’re not sure where wildflowers grow in your area, just ask around. Picking these flowers which can be quite beautiful doesn’t cost you a penny, yet bouquets from wildflowers are very attractive and are sold in shops all across the country.
By setting up a small table with wildflower bouquets in an area where there is a lot of foot traffic, you should have no problems selling these bouquets for $5-10 each!
Ok, so you’re not going to get rich selling wildflowers, but how does $500 sound?
That’s what a friend of mine made when she adapted this same idea by selling flowers on valentine’s day in her neighborhood. Now, how’s that for an idea for how to make money if you’re 12?

haha gr8 idea but i dont live in a busy area so there is nowhere i can sell them
@megan You can sell them to your neighbors. Go door-to-door and ask if anybody of them wants to buy from you. They can grow it in their yard or in their kitchen or any other room that has sunlight

Hi Amy, no worries about living in a not-so-busy area. Remember that a successful entrepreneur finds ways to succeed even when faced with problems like these
An idea is to have a look around your neighborhood and see where most people go to hang out or have fun. You can begin selling in those areas because people can see you. You can also distribute flyers telling everyone about your business.
Since this is a flower business, think of the occasions when people give flowers – Valentine's, birthdays, Mother's Day, etc. Then make sure that you are most visible during those times
