It’s that time of the year when most teens are thinking  about getting a summer job. One of the things you need to concern yourself with as a teen is how many hours you can work legally. Well, according to the US Department of Labor: http://www.dol.gov/, teens can work outside school hours  in various non-manufacturing, non-mining, non-hazardous jobs under certain conditions. The article that I was reading didn’t say what those conditions were but the permissible work hours are:

With Summer just around the corner, it’s not too soon to start thinking about ways that you can make money during the summer. Summer isn’t all fun and play for all teenagers -most actively seek summer jobs, some to save for tuition, some for some extra cash. As the good high-paying jobs are taken up fast, you need to start job-hunting early in order to get a good paying job. One worthwhile job that many teenagers seek out is a job as a teenage lifeguard. Even though being a lifeguard has its responsibilities, it could be a desirable job for you not only because of the obvious, such as the work environment but also because of the pay.
